CVE-2022-23485Network attack vector

Unauthorized organization access via replayable invite cookie

Published Dec 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper access control in Sentry 20.6.0 through 22.10.0 allows remote attackers with a valid invite link to join an organization. The invite flow stored pending member and token values in a client-controlled cookie, allowing that state to be altered and replayed instead of binding it to the server-side session. A valid, unexpired invite link is required, and reuse permits creation of multiple accounts in the issuing organization.
