CVE-2022-23467Public exploit

Kernel-address disclosure via oversized USB report

Published Dec 5, 2022 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in the razermouse driver in OpenRazer before 3.5.1 allows physically proximate attackers to disclose kernel addresses. razer_attr_read_dpi_stages trusts the device-controlled stage count and data size, then iterates beyond the USB response arguments array while formatting DPI data. Exploitation requires a modified USB mouse or keyboard and a local plugdev-group user to read its dpi_stages sysfs attribute, exposing an address that can weaken KASLR.
