Cross-site scripting via unsanitized clipboard HTML
Published Sep 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Cross-site scripting in NHN Cloud TOAST UI Grid before 4.21.3 allows attackers to execute JavaScript from crafted HTML pasted into editable cells. ClipboardComp reads the text/html clipboard payload without sanitization, while DefaultRenderer assigns the resulting formatted value to innerHTML without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires a user to paste attacker-controlled rich content into an editable cell; the script then runs in the application's browser origin, allowing page data to be read or changed.
