Hard-coded key use in Fortinet FortiEDR 4.0.0 and 5.0.0 through 5.0.2 allows remote attackers to forge collector messages. Fortinet has not disclosed the key's storage locus or the collector-message verification operation that trusts it. Network access alone is sufficient; the disclosed consequence is collector impersonation and forged telemetry, not service interruption.
