Code execution via planted DLL search order
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Uncontrolled DLL loading in affected Yokogawa Electric Corporation CENTUM and Exaopc releases allows attackers to execute code via a planted library. The vendor identifies the affected locus only as CENTUM and Exaopc DLL search-order handling; no executable, function, filename, or searched directory is disclosed. Reachability is adjacent-network and unauthenticated in Yokogawa's assessment, and a loaded library gains the affected process's data and execution rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
