Remote command execution via tainted cmdarray
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in PublicCMS 4.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the cmdarray parameter. SysSiteAdminController carries request-derived parameters into cmdarray, which reaches the command-execution trigger without an intervening validation step. No prior privileges or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the PublicCMS process privileges.
