Administrator account creation via forged admin request
Published Feb 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in YzmCMS 6.3 allows remote attackers to create an administrator account through the admin.add endpoint. The public issue supplies a crafted page that targets admin.add after an administrator signs in, but it does not identify the missing or faulty server-side validation. Exploitation requires an administrator to be signed in and open attacker-controlled content; success adds a privileged account.
