CVE-2022-2338

Administrator session hijacking via cleartext heartbeat cookie

Published Aug 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Authentication bypass in Softing Secure Integration Server 1.22 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to hijack administrator sessions. The administration interface sends a session cookie in periodic heartbeat requests over plaintext HTTP on port 8099, allowing interception and replay. The attack requires an administrator's active session and an adjacent network position for ARP spoofing; it exposes the administrator session but does not alter or interrupt the service.
