Administrative access via unchanged default credentials
Published Aug 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Authentication bypass in Softing edgeConnector, edgeAggregator, and Secure Integration Server allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The web administration interface accepts the factory-set admin username and admin password, while installation and first login do not require a password change. edgeConnector 3.40 and earlier, edgeAggregator 3.40 and earlier, and Secure Integration Server 1.22 and earlier expose all administrative functions whenever the default account remains unchanged.
