SQL injection via broken quote escaping
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in MetInfo 7.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary database queries through the doModifyParameter action. In language_general.class.php, stripslashes removes escaping before preg_replace doubles quotes, allowing a crafted backslash to escape one replacement quote and alter the executed SQL. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient to read or modify database data or interrupt requests with expensive queries.
