CVE-2022-2330Network attack vector

Authenticated local-service access via external XML entities

Published Aug 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

XXE in Trellix Data Loss Prevention Endpoint before 11.9.100 allows remote authenticated users to access otherwise unreachable local services. The DLP Agent's XML parser resolves attacker-controlled external entities from a crafted XML file instead of blocking references outside the document's trust boundary. Exploitation requires low-privileged network access and exposes data reachable through local services without reported write or service-interruption impact.
