Local privilege escalation via undisclosed driver flaw
Published Mar 9, 2022 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
Elevation of privilege in the Windows Cloud Files Mini Filter Driver allows local users on affected Windows builds to gain elevated access. Microsoft has not published the flawed function, input, or incorrect operation inside the driver. Exploitation requires existing low-privilege local access and high-complexity conditions, after which attacker-controlled code can run with elevated privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
