Access-token disclosure via exception objects
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Jan 2, 2025
Information disclosure in Microsoft powerbi-client 2.0.0 through 2.19.0 allows remote authenticated users to obtain a Power BI access token. The SDK leaves configured access tokens in exception objects rather than removing the credential before exposing error details. Exploitation requires network access and high privileges, and the resulting disclosure is limited to confidentiality of the exposed token.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
