Code execution via unchecked 3GP file parsing
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe After Effects 22.1.1 and earlier or 18.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via 3GP files. The 3GP parser insufficiently validates file data before copying it, allowing a write past the end of an allocated structure. A victim must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; successful exploitation runs code in the current process and user context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
