Application denial-of-service via malformed CDR file
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Adobe Illustrator 25.4.3 and earlier and 26.0.2 and earlier allow remote attackers to cause application denial-of-service via a malicious file. The CorelDraw CDR decoder dereferences a null pointer when parsing malformed CDR data, terminating the application. Exploitation requires no authentication but does require a victim to open the crafted file; impact is limited to availability of the current Illustrator process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
