Arbitrary code execution via crafted-file buffer overflow
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Buffer overflow in Adobe Illustrator 25.4.3 and earlier and 26.0.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted file. Adobe identifies insecure handling of malicious files but has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or unchecked copy operation. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, after which code runs in that user's context.
