Unauthenticated file read via path traversal
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Path traversal in Amodat Mobile Application Gateway 7.12.00.08 through 7.12.00.09 allows remote attackers to read server files. The /mobile/downloadfile.aspx endpoint accepts a Filename query value containing ../ sequences and resolves it to a server file path, as shown by a request for windows/boot.ini. No authentication is required; successful exploitation discloses files readable by the gateway process, while write or execution impact is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
