Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary PHP callback
Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in Innate Images LLC VR Calendar before 2.3.2 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code via an admin-post request. The handleCommands() method passes the unauthenticated vrc_cmd parameter directly to call_user_func(), allowing the requester to select a PHP callable. No account or user interaction is required, and the selected function runs with the WordPress process privileges, enabling site data access, modification, or service interruption.
