CVE-2022-23135

System-path access via unchecked FTP destination

Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in ZTE ZXHN F677 and F477 firmware through 9.0.0P1N28 allows remote authenticated users to access system paths. The FTP path configuration accepts a user-modified destination without verifying that it remains inside the permitted directory, enabling reads and writes outside the FTP root. Exploitation requires specific high-level permissions and adjacent-network access; exposed system contents can leak information and disrupt device operation.
