Stored XSS and record tampering via CSRF
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Student Result or Employee Database before 1.7.5 allows attackers to alter records and plant stored scripts. The ssr_add_st_submit and ssr_del_st_submit handlers accept cross-origin form posts without CSRF validation, while fields such as rid are stored without sanitization or output escaping. A contributor or higher-privileged user must be logged in and induced to submit the request; exploitation can add, edit, or delete student records and execute stored script in later viewers' browsers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
