Arbitrary file read via GetCopiedFile path traversal
Published Jan 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Trend Micro Deep Security Agent for Linux 20 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. The GetCopiedFile RPC resolves an attacker-controlled path without restricting traversal outside the intended directory. Exploitation requires control of the Deep Security Manager or an agent that has not been activated or configured, and the resulting access is limited to reading host files.
