Stored XSS via unescaped SSH server name
Published Jan 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Project Publish Over SSH Plugin 1.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The global SSH server-name field is stored without escaping and later inserted into an administrative web page, allowing crafted markup to execute when rendered. Exploitation requires Overall/Administer permission and a victim to view the stored value; resulting script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
