CVE-2022-23107Network attack vector

Controller file read and write via custom-ID traversal

Published Jan 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in Jenkins Warnings Next Generation Plugin 9.10.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read and write controller files. A custom ID is used as a file name without rejecting directory separators, so traversal segments redirect hard-coded-suffix file operations outside the intended directory. Item/Configure permission is required, and access is limited to files whose names satisfy the plugin's fixed suffix.
