Out-of-bounds read in the DNS proxy of ConnMan 1.40 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory or crash connmand via crafted DNS replies. In dnsproxy.c, forward_dns_reply trusts an attacker-controlled host length and calls strnlen from a pointer beyond the received packet without verifying sufficient bytes. Control of a DNS server or spoofed replies is required; UDP processing can return stack data to a controlled DNS client, while TCP processing can crash connmand.
