Code execution via crafted JPG parsing
Published Jan 15, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2022.12.1 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted JPG file. The JPG loading path accepts unchecked image data and corrupts process memory during parsing. Exploitation requires a victim application using the SDK to read the malicious file, after which code runs in that process context.
