Account takeover via unsanitized stored names
Published Jun 21, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored XSS in Tandoor Recipes 0.17.0 through 1.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to steal API keys via crafted object names. Keyword, Food, and Unit names are stored and then inserted into Vue HTML bindings and HTML popover titles without sanitization, causing browsers to execute embedded script. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but a victim must open an affected endpoint; an administrator's session permits account takeover.
