API key theft via unsanitized clipboard rendering
Published Jun 21, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored XSS in Tandoor Recipes 1.0.5 through 1.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to steal a victim's API key via a food name. The food-list clipboard control renders the stored Name value as HTML in a BootstrapVue popover title without sanitizing it. A low-privileged account must store the payload and a victim must click the clipboard icon; script execution can expose the victim's API key and enable administrator account takeover.
