Browser script execution via unsanitized profile fields
Published Jun 22, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored XSS in the profile editor of Frappe Framework 12.0.9 through 13.0.3 allows attackers to inject persistent browser scripts. Profile editing stores input-field values without proper validation, so crafted markup executes during a later viewing of the affected profile. A low-privileged account and a subsequent profile view are required; the injected script runs in the browser context and can read or modify accessible page data.
