Stored script execution via unsanitized widget URL
Published Feb 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in NASA Open MCT 1.3.0 through 1.7.7 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a Condition Widget URL. ConditionWidget.vue binds the persisted domain-object URL as a link target without effectively neutralizing script-bearing schemes, leaving the value executable in a browser. A victim must open or activate the crafted widget; execution occurs in the victim's browser context and can read or alter data available to that session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.3.0 <1.3.0*
