Authenticated file disclosure via TMUI XXE
Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
XXE in F5 BIG-IP FPS, ASM, and Advanced WAF allows remote authenticated users to read local files through the TMUI. F5 has not disclosed the affected page or parser path; the page resolves external entity URIs from attacker-supplied XML into local file reads and outbound HTTP requests. Exploitation requires high-privilege TMUI authentication and affects 16.1.x before 16.1.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.4, and 14.1.x before 14.1.4.4.
