CVE-2022-23029Network attack vector

Service degradation via FastL4 memory exhaustion

Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Resource exhaustion in F5 BIG-IP 16.x before 16.1.0 allows remote attackers to increase memory use via undisclosed traffic. F5 has not disclosed which traffic pattern triggers the race or how FastL4 mishandles it, only that memory resource utilization increases. The condition requires a FastL4 profile on a virtual server and can degrade availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
