CVE-2022-23018Network attack vector

Service interruption via undisclosed requests

Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Denial of service in affected F5 BIG-IP AFM releases allows remote attackers to terminate TMM with undisclosed requests. F5 has not disclosed how the requests trigger improper exceptional-condition handling in the Traffic Management Microkernel. Exposure requires a virtual server configured with both HTTP protocol security and HTTP Proxy Connect profiles, and successful exploitation interrupts traffic processing by crashing TMM.
