CVE-2022-23014Network attack vector

Authenticated TMM crash via undisclosed portal requests

Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper input validation in F5 BIG-IP APM 16.1.x before 16.1.2 and 15.1.x before 15.1.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash TMM. F5 has not disclosed which portal-access request field reaches TMM or what validation operation fails before the process terminates. Reachability requires APM portal access on a virtual server, and exploitation interrupts traffic processing on the affected TMM instance.
