Virtual-server outage via SYN cookie miscalculation
Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect calculation in F5 BIG-IP 15.1.x before 15.1.4 and 14.1.x before 14.1.3 allows remote attackers to interrupt virtual servers. The SYN Cookie Protection feature performs an incorrect, undisclosed calculation while processing TCP traffic on certain hardware platforms. Exploitation requires a supported hardware platform using the affected feature and can stop virtual servers from accepting traffic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
