Stack-based buffer overflow in the FTP service in My Cloud OS 5 before 5.19.117 allows remote attackers to compromise the device. The FTP service mishandles network input on its stack, but Western Digital has not disclosed the affected command, parser, or copy operation. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation can read or alter device data and interrupt service.
