Command injection in Snyk CLI and plugins before their fixed versions allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary commands via crafted CLI flags. The snyk test command passes attacker-controlled arguments from untrusted files into command execution without complete neutralization, allowing shell commands to run on the host. Exploitation requires a user or CI pipeline to invoke snyk test on attacker-controlled input; impact is limited to the privileges of that host process.
