Local disclosure of stored remote-server passwords

Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Unprotected credential storage in VMware Workstation 16.x before 16.2.4 allows local users to disclose connected remote-server passwords. VMware has not published the storage location, credential format, or operation that leaves those passwords insufficiently protected.
