Authentication bypass via unneutralized username SQL
Published Jul 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
SQL injection in the login page of Clinic's Patient Management System 2.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via user_name. /pms/index.php incorporates the user_name parameter into login SQL without neutralizing quote and Boolean operator syntax, causing an always-true predicate to be evaluated. No account or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is access as the selected account, while broader database effects are not established.
