CVE-2022-22965Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe data binding

Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Code injection in Spring Framework 5.3.0 through 5.3.17 and 5.2.19.RELEASE and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. Request-parameter data binding exposes ClassLoader and ProtectionDomain property paths, allowing crafted fields to reach container internals. The reported path requires JDK 9 or later, spring-webmvc or spring-webflux, and a traditional WAR on a vulnerable servlet container; default executable JAR deployments are not exposed.
