CVE-2022-22963Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via routing-expression evaluation

Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Code injection in Spring Cloud Function 3.1.6 and earlier and 3.2.2 allows remote attackers to execute code through a routing header. RoutingFunction parses the spring.cloud.function.routing-expression message header as SpEL and previously evaluated it with an unrestricted StandardEvaluationContext. The functionRouter endpoint and routing functionality must be exposed; successful exploitation runs commands with the application process's privileges and can access local resources.
