CVE-2022-22958Network attack vector

Administrative code execution via JDBC URI deserialization

Published Apr 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

JDBC injection in VMware Workspace ONE Access, Identity Manager, and vRealize Automation allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The affected server accepts a malicious JDBC URI and deserializes attacker-controlled data from it instead of treating the URI only as connection data. Administrative access to an affected release is required, and successful exploitation executes code in the server context.
