Unauthenticated remote code execution via server-side template injection
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Remote code execution in VMware Workspace ONE Access and Identity Manager allows remote attackers with network access via server-side template injection. The server-side template engine evaluates attacker-supplied template content as executable expressions rather than treating it as data, enabling command execution. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests can execute arbitrary code with service privileges and affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
