Stored script execution via doctor specialization field
Published Jan 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Hospital's Patient Records Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The doctor-creation workflow accepts an HTML event-handler payload in the specialization field and later renders it when the doctors page is accessed. A logged-in staff member or administrator must add or edit doctor data, and the code executes in another authenticated user's browser when that user views the doctors list.
