Improper hostname validation in Zoom Client for Meetings before 5.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to redirect clients to a malicious server. A crafted XMPP server-switch control stanza supplies a hostname that the client accepts without binding it to the trusted Zoom service. The attacker must be able to send the target Zoom chat messages; the redirect establishes an adversary-in-the-middle position and contributes to a demonstrated multi-flaw code-execution chain.
