CVE-2022-22784Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Message forgery via XMPP stanza smuggling

Published May 18, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

XML injection in Zoom Client for Meetings before 5.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to forge server-originated XMPP messages. Inconsistent XML parsing lets crafted byte sequences reset the XMPP root and open a new message context. A Zoom account able to send chat messages is required; the forged context can make a recipient's client perform actions without user interaction.
