Published Apr 28, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper update validation in Zoom Client for Meetings for macOS before 5.9.6 allows remote attackers to install an older package. The macOS updater fails to compare the incoming package version with the installed client version before accepting the update. Exploitation requires an unsuspecting user to participate in the update process and leaves the client downgraded to a less secure release.
