CVE-2022-22765

Sensitive-data compromise via hardcoded credentials

Published Feb 12, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Hardcoded credentials in BD Viper LT System 2.0 and later allow attackers with physical or network access to read, alter, or delete sensitive data. The system embeds credentials that customers and end users do not use directly, but BD has not disclosed their storage location, protected interface, or authentication flow. Exploitation requires access to the appliance and bypassing additional security controls, after which ePHI, PHI, and PII can be read, modified, or deleted.
