Code execution via undisclosed memory-safety defects
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Memory corruption in Mozilla Firefox before 97, Firefox ESR before 91.6, and Thunderbird before 91.6 allows remote attackers to run code. The grouped advisories do not disclose the affected code loci or the unsafe operations; they report only that multiple memory-safety defects produced evidence of memory corruption. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled browser or browser-like content; ordinary Thunderbird email reading is not exposed because scripting is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
