Arbitrary code execution via memory corruption
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Memory corruption in Mozilla Firefox before 96, Firefox ESR before 91.5, and Thunderbird before 91.5 allows attackers to run arbitrary code. Mozilla describes multiple memory-safety defects with observed corruption but does not disclose the individual code loci or faulty operations. Execution requires user interaction with attacker-controlled web content; Thunderbird disables scripting while reading email, limiting ordinary message exposure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
