Database query manipulation via unescaped AJAX input
Published Mar 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in SedLex Simple Quotation 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to manipulate the database through AJAX requests. The delete_link AJAX action passes the attacker-controlled idLink value into a SQL statement without escaping, as shown by a time-delay payload. Subscriber access is sufficient, and the demonstrated payload delays database query execution.
